Angela Valentine is a well respected artist in the West Country and is especially acknowledged for her water colour and aquatint etchings of live situations of Devon and Cornwall, the Lake District; she has also painted landscapes in Europe.
Now in her eighties she has over her life created many paintings and it is from this volume of work that these cards arise. The inside of each card is blank and come complete with envelope. Mostly the cards measure 17cm x 12cm. The images cover most occasions in life.
Angela Valentine has also written 3 books. ‘The Dark Edge of the Rainbow’ tells her experiences as a child in wartime Germany and the aftermath. ‘Life Mysterious Paths’ is a fascinating story of the twists and turns she experienced as an adult and that can happen to any of us. ‘Brutus of Totnes’ is an illustrated children’s book telling of the connection between Totnes and the Roman Senator – Brutus.
