Commonly known both in the UK and Nepal as Yak Wool scarves, they are not made from yak wool but a 50% cotton mix. Yak wool apart from being expensive is not very soft and was used for making stone slings! But don’t be put off by the misuse of the name – the 50% cotton mix makes these colourful scarves great.
