Afghan Slipper Socks Adult, Hand knitted slipper socks with leather sole. Made in Afghanistan from 70% wool and 30% rayon by a Fair-Trade organisation.
This style of Afghan Slipper Sock is virtually as old as time, the designs have not changed since in my lifetime, but each pair is as unique as the person that made them. I just love that human connection between two people who will never meet but the one creative personality somehow matches the taste and personality of the the wearer on the other side of the world and both of you are as much one-of -a-kind.
These are becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of as that area of the world is in turmoil with conflict and even the supply route out of Afghanistan through Pakistan is now under pressure but your purchase does have a an impact right back to the source so thank you.

The colour and design of these knitted socks vary greatly, therefore we ask that you select a preferred colour, and we will do our best to select a pair with the best fit. For example, a ‘green’ pair might feature a dark pattern on a green background, but also be a green pattern on a cream background or also have other colours integrated. We hope you’ll agree that this variation, along with little knots and slight imperfections become part of the charm of these handmade knitted products.
