If you enjoy Chess or Draughts, you will love this Tigers and Goats Traditional Wooden Game. An absorbing game, faster than Chess, more challenging than Draughts. 4 tigers and 20 goats. The game starts with a tiger in each corner of the board. The tiger eats a goat when it jumps over one. Strategy for the goat player, place the goats such that it cannot be eaten but at the same time to try to crowd the tigers into a space from which they can do nothing! A game lasts around 20 minutes. It’s the national game of Nepal where it is named Bagh Chal. Incredibly good fun. Makes an ideal present, presented in a lovely solid wooden case with hand carved playing pieces.
Measures 15 cm x 15 cm could be considered a ‘travellers’ version. The Play board incorporated into the lid. Box contains 4 tigers and 20 goats, inside fabric lined. A really neat set with which to try out this fascinating game. Complete with instructions on how to play.
